A Grandson says farewell

When we received word that Kim's mother was dying, our youngest chose to say his goodbye to his grandmother in a note. While we arrived too late for her to read it, we included it and the picture of him and his girlfriend to be cremated with her. So that the smoke would take both to her. But after reading his letter, I had to share it, so I made a copy and posted the text below.

Dear Grandma,

I wanted to write you cause I won't see you again. I love you and I'm gonna miss you. Well I'm 17 now. I'm 5'7" or 5'8" tall. I'm broad shouldered and I look like a hippie with my long hair. Things are good here. I have plenty of friends. I have a girlfriend these days. Me and her are doing well. I'm part of the marching band. I'm in BETA club in school. I've grown up to be a really sweet, nice guy. I don't know what else to say. But I love you Grandma and goodbye.

Love, your Grandson
